rolling over
When can I expect my baby to start rolling over? She's lovely but she's only three-months-old and not doing much yet, I'm waiting for her to get more active and more "fun".

The Truth About Toys for Infants
Toys are the child's means of discovering both self and the world. Infant learning can be damaged by too many toys, or by toys that are not developmentally appropriate for your infant's age and stage. View eBook »

Learning to roll
Probably between 3-6 months or so. Believe me, the second 3 months of your baby's life will be anything but dull!!
Too True!
Yeah - you'll be chasing her around before you know it. I used to hate when people said this to me - but enjoy each stage, it's gone before you know it. It may not seem like in the midst of it all, but it is true.
Is this a problem?
I have a nephew who is 3 months old who still do not roll over. Is this a problem?
no, it is not a problem
Segmental rolling reflexes (the ability to roll) emerge at 6 months of age to allow rolling from supine to prone and then from prone to supine at 8-10 months, followed by sitting, four point kneeling and finally standing. Keep in mind that the above reflexes belong to postural reflexes and in order to emerge primitive reflexes must be inhibited during the normal development of the child. Maturation of primitive reflexes is a valid indicator of CNS maturation. For segmental rolling reflex in order to emerge Asymetrical Tonic Reflex and Spinal Galant Reflex should be inhibited.
