Why You Should Watch

As your baby edges towards the sunset of their first year, you’ll notice signs of improving intelligence in everything they do. And, while every child moves at their own pace, this video shows you certain things you can do on a day-to-day basis to provide deep and varied experiences that stimulate their social, emotional and intellectual development. You’ll see how, while younger babies imitate by reflex, towards that magic first birthday they begin to consciously imitate things you do. You’ll also get an insight into “stranger anxiety” and how to relieve it at this age; learn how babies learn through trial and error; and find out how practice really does make perfect and can lead to better problem-solving skills in later life.

What you’ll see from a baby’s eye view:
  • How babies learn through trial and error
  • How interactive toys stimulate a child’s intellectual development
  • Early childhood education activities in action
  • The anxiety caused by separation
  • The importance of “substitute” toys or blankets
What you’ll discover:
  • How to help develop your child’s problem-solving skills
  • Parenting tips for giving your child fun, rewarding, age-appropriate challenges
  • The best toys and activities for helping your child learn
  • Memory games you can play together
  • Parenting secrets for making your child feel more secure
By seeing exactly how children grow in confidence and develop, and by knowing what “problems” to give your child to solve through trial and error, you can help them progress to the next stage of their social, emotional and intellectual development – at the right pace for your unique child.
