I Think (6 - 8 Months) – Episode 1 – Recognizing Self & Others

Our I Think channel gives you a unique insight into your child’s inner thoughts and learning experiences. The channel is split into four age groups, each containing four videos – one longer I Think show and three shorter I Think episodes. Watch all related videos in each channel, or go straight to the age group relevant to your child. There are five channels in total, each focusing on one aspect of your child's world.

Why You Should Watch

Although there’s no set timetable to your child’s development, at around six months things really start getting interesting. Get a child’s perspective on how children start recognizing their parents and even begin getting a sense of themselves as individuals. Memory, recognition and recall are important building blocks in your child’s development and effective parenting help in this area can influence their memory skills in later life. 

What you’ll see from a baby’s eye view:

  • Things that could startle or frighten your child
  • How being around “strangers” can affect babies
