Why You Should Watch

While you take photos constantly to preserve cherished memories of your baby growing up, your baby is busy developing their own memory. Get a child’s perspective on how children start recognizing their parents, begin getting a sense of themselves and start developing longer memories as individuals. You’ll also learn the importance of continuing to provide new experiences for your baby to help them expand the amount of information they can take in, store and recall as memories. Memory, recognition and recall are important building blocks in your child’s development and effective parenting help in this area can influence their memory skills in later life.

What you’ll see from a baby’s eye view:
  • How babies recognize you
  • Things that could startle or frighten your child
  • How your child benefits from new experiences
  • What things can trigger memory recall in a baby
  • How a baby’s “blankie” helps overcome separation anxiety
What you’ll discover:
  • How your child builds an “image” of you
  • How to help your child recognize you easily
  • Early childhood education activities that help develop memory
  • What you can do to expand your child’s memory
  • What toys are best for improving perceptional memory
Although there’s no set timetable to your child’s development, providing them with varied, rich and appropriate experiences and building early childhood educational activities (through playing) into your daily routine is hugely beneficial to your child’s healthy development at this age.
