Why You Should Watch

Going to any sort of extremes is not recommended for newborns, that's why it's important to treat their taste buds to nothing more than breast milk or formula, and not assault their little noses with strong, acrid smells. Find out how your baby's taste buds develop, which tastes they prefer (hint: sweet beats sour) and why strong scents and flavors can interfere with their development.

What you'll see from a baby's eye view:

  • When and how their taste buds develop
  • How taste and smell are 'chemical senses'
  • Why it's important to not assault your baby's senses

What you'll discover:

  • Why breast milk or formula are all your newborn needs to eat
  • If a smell is overwhelming for you, it's bound to be overwhelming for your baby
  • Which of baby's senses are most developed

The better you understand how your baby experiences the world, the easier it will be to help them make sense of that world.

The Truth About Toys for Infants
