Why You Should Watch

Because a newborn's vision is very undeveloped, your baby will start learning about their world more through hearing and touch. Get a child's perspective on how things sound when baby's brand new, and why lots of cuddling and kissing is as important to their development as basics like food. Knowing how to ease your baby into the big new world they’re experiencing will comfort them and make them feel safe and loved.

What you'll see from a baby’s eye view:

  • Why loud, harsh noises are distressing to newborns
  • How your voice gives your baby a sense of continuity from the womb into the world
  • Why touch is one of the easiest languages for a newborn to understand

What you'll discover:

  • How to reassure, comfort and cuddle your newborn
  • Why it's important to chat to your child as you go about your day
  • How to help your child give context their new world

The more you understand about how your child is experiencing the world, the easier it will be for you to make that world less stressful for your baby.
