Why You Should Watch
Children practice their conversational skills long before anything they babble sounds remotely like words, and the easiest way to help them is with lots of chatting. As well as taking turns, allow them to interject some “da, da, das” into the mix. Get the inside scoop on how your child gains a sense of language and how your response encourages them to keep exploring sounds that will eventually become words.
What you'll see from a baby's eye view:
- What conversation looks like when you're four months old
- How practice makes perfect
- Why imitation is the sincerest form of linguistic baby flattery
What you'll discover:
- How to take turns speaking when babbling with your babe
- How make believe play stimulates your child's language learning ability
- Why baby talk helps your baby learn how to. . .well. . .talk
The more you understand about how your child's language skills grow and develop, the better you'll be able to support them along the way. Be warned, you'll have a little chatterbox on your hands before you know it!

talk and babble back
I guess I shouldn't feel silly talking and babbling back to my little one when he babbles to me, now that I know this helps expand his vocab - very cool.
