Why You Should Watch

You may feel a little silly, but keeping up a running commentary about your day isn't just comforting for your child; it also helps them develop their listening and comprehension skills.  You'll get your child's perspective on why they like the sound of your voice over all else and find out just how well newborns actually hear, as well as useful tips on how to talk to your child in ways that help them with their language development.

What you'll see from a baby's eye view:

  • How your newborn's hearing differs from your own
  • Why babies love the sound of their parents' voices
  • How music helps your baby's mental development

What you'll discover:

  • Why baby talk comes naturally to new parents
  • That babies are listening long before they're born
  • How to help your child discover language in their new world

Once you understand how important your talking, singing and humming are to your baby, the less self-conscious you'll feel chattering away to your tiny tot.
